Yandere Simulator is a sandbox game where you fall in love with senpai and do all you can to prevent rejection. The majority of the game revolves around stalking, threatening and even murdering other characters that senpai might be interested in. While the plot might disturb some, it takes from common anime tropes in the yandere genre.

Main Features

Yandere Simulator is a robust sandbox game where you have an entire school to explore. This includes many different rooms and floors, the hallways, the courtyard and other areas around the school. You'll also find many actions that you can use around the school to help you in your quest of preventing senpai from being attracted to anyone else.

This is also a game of choice. You can choose to make your character incredibly violent, but then this can lead to senpai rejecting you if he finds out what you're doing. You have to be stealthy and creative while still asserting yourself into his life and keeping others away.

Anime Tropes

This game takes heavily from anime tropes and classic yandere characters and plots. Yandere is a Japanese word that means lovesick. This word is used to describe characters who are deeply infatuated with someone and will go to any lengths for their love and affection. Sometimes this leads to cute stories while other times it leads to desperate characters willing to hurt others.

If you like anime, then you've seen how these stories play out. This borrows heavily from yandere anime in terms of plot and characters.

Robust Stealth Mechanics

Most anime-inspired games have intense action and detailed environments. Yandere Simulator does something different. This game is surprisingly robust when it comes to stealth mechanics. Many people liken it to Hitman and Metal Gear Solid in that respect.

You can watch characters, make note of their routines, who they are speaking to, what they are talking about and even discover their likes and dislikes. You can use this to your advantage. Maybe you notice a character is alone during certain times. This allows you to intimidate or attack them without anyone noticing. You could also weaponize their fears or dislikes.

At the same time, you must be aware of your surroundings. If you hurt someone, then there might be blood on your character that others will notice. You also don't want senpai to see you being cruel to other characters.
